This year marked our second year participating in Movember, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together. Throughout November, we banded together to raise funds and awareness for men’s health. All employees from all sites got stuck in this year and it was great to see so many take part!

One of the highlights of our Movember efforts this year was our employee raffle. We reached out to incredible local businesses for prize donations, and the response was overwhelming. Thanks to the generosity of SuperValu Kingscourt, Delicious Coffeehouse, McNally’s Pharmacy, Church Street Café, Frazers Topline, Bad Boy Burgers, The Central Navan, Hastings Insurances, and Woolly Mammoth Designs, we were able to create an exciting raffle that brought joy to our team and raised much-needed funds.

In addition to the raffle, we organised a bake sale to help raise funds for Movember. We invited employees to contribute by baking their favourite sweet treats, and they definitely delivered! The spread included brownies, cake pops, biscuit cake, muffins, tarts and banana bread it was a fantastic variety. The bake sale added a wonderful boost to our fundraising efforts. A massive thank you to everyone who baked and supported the cause!

Some of our team members took their Movember commitment to the next level with a 100 push-ups-a-day challenge. Not only did this promote fitness and camaraderie, but it also led to some hilarious moments as the participants competed to see who could do the most push-ups by the end of the month.

The collective effort of our team and community raised over €4,500 for Movember, a phenomenal achievement we couldn’t have done without everyone’s support. To amplify the impact, the O’Reilly Group is matching this amount and donating it to local women’s charities, continuing our commitment to supporting our community in meaningful ways.

Again we want to give a heartfelt thank you to the local businesses who donated prizes for our raffle, the bakers who treated us to delicious goodies and everyone who bought raffle tickets, participated in challenges, or supported in any way.
